Let's see... [thinks] It was all really weird, because even though we kind of knew these people weren't real, we also believed they were? Anyway, first we ran into Rondo, Mathis, and someone Gojo knew from home. Erin didn't go out looking for any survivors in the city, so we didn't run into anyone she recognized.
We took them to a shelter and then we left to investigate again. We ran into Geto, who we ended up killing... Oh, and then another version of me came along and killed us all? So we revived back at the city, where it turned out that, um, Mathis had killed the others, so we killed him too.
Then more familiar faces showed up as survivors looking to enter—most of them were people the others knew from back home, I think, but Lavi was there too.
[...]
But we realized it was all an illusion, and when we broke it, everyone had been dead all along and fused with this giant monster we had to defeat, along with a bunch of other people we recognized...
... Yeah. [awkward smile] The final enemy we had to face was this monster that was as tall as a building or so, made up of everyone's bodies melted together. All of the townspeople, the people we recognized, and so on and so forth...
Mm-hmm. [...] We weren't able to save anyone, since they were already, gone, but... with the monster defeated, we were finally released from our contracts as hunters.
One of the items was a bottle, where there was some kind of liquid and talon inside? And the other object was a wooden box with runes engraved in it and inside was a writhing stick bug... Not sure what any of those mean.
[BUT IT AIN'T MY PROBLEM IT'S VIN AND GOJO'S CYOA REWARD TO FIGURE OUT NOW
... You don't have to talk about it. To me, or anyone. [ he like. gets it. especially not wanting to confess to him he is USELESS ] ... But you don't have to pretend, either.
... Thanks, Cloud. [...] It was hard, but... it was better than making Vin and Gojo feel like they had to take care of everything. And at least none of it was real, right...?
Well, the injuries do hurt a lot, I'll give you that. [coo, goes the thing in her arms.] But even if it was fake... it was nice seeing the others again. Getting to talk to Lavi and everyone, even if just for a moment.
